Analog Synthesizer is an 8-voice analog synthesizer with 61 semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch. Each voice features 2 digitally controlled oscillators offering selection between sawtooth, triangle, sawtooth/triangle mix, and pulse waves. Additionally, each voice has an analog Curtis low-pass filter. The Prophet '08 keyboard also has 3 envelope generators, 4 LFOs, a 16x4 step sequencer, and an arpeggiator to alter, manipulate, and shape your sounds.

You can connect a sustain pedal and an expression pedal to the Prophet '08 keyboard. The expression pedal input doubles as a voltage control input for further sonic manipulation. Designed to provide a hands-on experience, the Prophet '08's parameters are adjusted via knobs. Four 1/4" TS unbalanced outputs provide audio output, while a 1/4" stereo headphone connection allows playback in quiet environments. The Prophet '08 keyboard has a 5-pin MIDI input, MIDI output, and a poly chain output that allows you to link it to a second Prophet '08 module or keyboard to increase the number of voices to 16.
